Former Governor of Kwara State, Bukola Saraki has stated that he will soon declare his interest in the 2015 presidential race
The number of candidates for the 2015 presidential elections is increasing by the day as former Governor of Kwara State, Bukola Saraki has reportedly said that he would soon declare his interest in the race.
Saraki made the disclosure during an interview with journalists in the state capital, Ilorin, Daily Independent reports.
He said:
“Very
soon I will make my position on the issue of whether I will or will not
contest the 2015 presidential election known. I appreciate the demands
that I have seen coming from different parts of the country on this
issue.
“I believe that 2015 for a lot of
us is all about Nigeria; it is about the sacrifices that we will have to
make and we will be taking those decisions based on the necessary
sacrifices,”
Saraki is expected to contest on
the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC), after leaving the
Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) last year, and will go head to head with
other presidential hopefuls from the APC such as former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar and former President, Muhammadu Buhari.
