Insiders say all fours artistes have been in talks with the telecoms giant for sometime, and the deal has now been sealed. Banky, Sultan, SID and Harrysong were all featured on the last MTN Loud in Naija Tour which took place from November to December 2013 in Lagos, Port Harcourt, Abuja and Ibadan.
The quartet’s songs were also included in the last two mixtapes – ‘#MTNLoudInNaijaMix’ and ‘Loud In Naija Valentine 2014 Mix’ MTN released in December and February respectively. ‘There are finalizing the deals with them and will unveil the guys pretty soon’, an insider at MTN tells us. When NET reached the artistes, they remained silent, not responding to our queries. MTN’s additional signing, we are told, was influenced by the success of the current caller back tunes from current ambassadors – Davido, Wizkid, KCEE, Don Jazzy, D’Prince, Iyanya, Praiz, Chidinma, iMyke and Tiwa Savage. No official word yet from MTN or their reps.
